About us

I’m Richard, wedding filmmaker. I’m recently single, have an incredible 12 year old son called David who I sole parent 50% of the time and probably one of the best looking dogs I’ve ever seen, my 3 yr old Golden Doodle Danny. I have shot nearly 400 weddings now, with the best photographers, in the best and most interesting venues, and I think I’m producing the most creative and technically proficient work of my life in 2021. It’s taken a few years to get here, but I’ve always tried to strive to have a business based on strong values and an ethos of customer service. I don’t and won’t always succeed but I really try! The main thing I push for is a strong commitment to both beautifully shot films and precious family moments captured forever. I always believe that I’m only a conduit for my couples’ style and personality, and I try to mould myself into the day, the atmosphere and the mood, and be chatty, or quiet, supportive, helpful and always calm. Contemplating life through the shockwave of Covid, I’ve changed my attitude to work. I need to have quality time with my son. I need to pursue my interests in travelling, diving, writing a book, making. documentary.

2022 already has a pretty much full calendar, but for 2023, I drastically reducing the number of weddings from somewhere around 70 per year, to 30. To do that I want to work with couples who really want to work with me and who are heavily invested not just financially but also in helping me make a family document that will literally last forever.

Richard Speedie

Richard is married to Yvonne, with one son David who is nearly ten and one Golden Doodle puppy called Dan. We all live in Clonsilla, West Dublin and when not shooting and editing wedding and corporate video, I enjoy playing the piano and doing a bit of cooking. I was lucky enough to be a contestant on Masterchef Ireland in 2011 and learnt so much about the food industry during that process. I also played keyboards professionally for many years, including over 10 years playing in wedding bands. So, weddings are in my DNA at this stage.

Rory Sinnott
